Away form Liverpool's only worry as they look to smash Fulham

The signs suggest this could be a one-way affair, but one stat will have Reds' fans wary

One club that's fighting for the Premier League title, the other battling against all odds to avoid dropping back down to the Championship.

Liverpool will be expected to make light work of Fulham on Monday morning (AEDT) but a trip to Craven Cottage could present a potential banana skin.

While history and standings suggest the Reds should sweep past the Cottagers, Jurgen Klopp's side have drawn their past three away Premier League matches - failing to score in their two most recent trips.

Though they did dispatch Bayern Munich on the road midweek to secure a place in the Champions League quarter-finals, Liverpool will need to be wary of any lingering hangover and find a way to fire.

Some have suggested the Reds would be best to focus solely on the league and roll over in Europe, but that's not Klopp's style and he must prove the Reds can juggle both.

Trailing Manchester City by one point and with an inferior goal difference, Liverpool could make up some lost ground against Fulham if they can find their feet away from home.

History is firmly on the Reds' side with the Cottagers losing their past five Premier League meetings against Liverpool - including their last two at home.

Form is also a major worry for Fulham with a six-game losing run leaving them 13 points from safety and staring into the brink of a Championship return.

The Reds boast a brilliant record against recently promoted sides having not lost any of their past 11 matches against such opposition and they won't be eager to show any mercy on Monday.

Mohamed Salah for one has had a hand in 12 goals in his last eight Premier League appearances against newly-promoted sides, while Sadio Mane has scored eight goals in his past eight league games.

While the writing appears to be on the wall for Fulham, Liverpool are still desperately looking to write their name in the history books this season and they'll be hoping to avoid any slip-ups at Craven Cottage.
