Agent confirms talks with AmaZulu regarding Sundowns' Bongi Ntuli

After failing to secure a move to Sweden following a trial with Djurgardens, Mamelodi Sundowns attacker Bongi Ntuli could soon make a Premier Soccer League (PSL) switch.

Ntuli, who has been on the books of the Tshwane giants since 2014, has consistently failed to command regular game time and has been loaned out.

In recent years, Ntuli has spent much time on loan at Platinum Stars, where he was also part of the side which was relegated to the National First Division (NFD).

Moreover, Ntuli’s trial in Scandinavia took many by surprise, but a deal did not come to fruition despite Djurgadens reportedly impressed by him.

However, with Ntuli seemingly not part of Sundowns head coach Pitso Mosimane’s plans, a move away from Chloorkop looks likely.

This has led to much speculation surrounding his next move with AmaZulu's interest in the 27-year-old confirmed by his agent.

Ntuli is certainly no stranger to turning out for Durban-based outfit as he previously spent time with the club on loan in 2015.

But while his agent Mandla Mthembu has confirmed that talks are on-going with Usuthu, a deal is yet to be struck.

However, Ntuli’s representative, is confident that the striker's future could be tied up sooner rather than later.

“It’s true that we are in talks with AmaZulu about Ntuli. It’s just talks for now he hasn’t signed,” Mthembu told Isolezwe.

“Anytime from now we will make an announcement about his new club,” the player’s agent added.

The countdown will now commence as Ntuli and his representatives have until the end of the month to conclude a deal before the transfer window closes.
