Aduana boss blames players for home disappointment against Raja in Cup Confederation Cup

Aduana Stars coach Yusif Abubakar has slammed his players for Wednesday's home draw with Moroccan side Raja Casablanca in the Caf Confederation Cup.

The Ghanaians had to come back from behind on all occasions to force a 3-3 stalemate in the Group A fixture at the Nana Agyeman Badu Stadium, Nathaniel Asamoah's stoppage time effort proving the ultimate equalizer.

Mahmoud Benhalib (2x) and Lema Mabidi were on target for the visitors while Oba Ikama and Caleb Amankwah also scored for the Dormaa-based outfit.

''It was a very bad game; we did not do well at all," Abubakar said.

"We got one point and this was not my expectation.

"All that I will say is that it was a disappointing game for me.

''I was not happy with my players' attitude. There was no discipline at all.

"Too much complacency and overconfidence cost us."

Having earlier lost 1-0 to Ivorian club Asec Mimosas on matchday one, Wednesday's result places Aduana bottom of Group A.

They will seek to make amends for their faltering start when they host AS Vita Club of Congo DR in their next game in July.

''What we need to do is to cool down and make sure that we take the next home match," Abubakar added.

"Then in one of the away matches, we must at least get a draw or take another three points.

"Other than that, our chances [of qualification] will more difficult."

It is Aduana's debut season in the Caf Confederation Cup.
