O'Connor has admitted that he and his <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/team/wrexham/206vnsjv8ho5kpf88y0u2gaic" target="_blank">Wrexham</a> team-mates found it tough to adapt to <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/league-two/bgen5kjer2ytfp7lo9949t72g" target="_blank">League Two</a> after promotion from the National League. However, now that they are on track for a second successive promotion, he has urged his teammates to keep up their intensity and finish the job.

WHAT HAPPENED?

O'Connor said, via <a href="https://www.leaderlive.co.uk/sport/24057857.wrexham-second-league-two-going-welsh-derby/" target="_blank">the Leader</a>: "It took us a while to get going in League Two. But the last few months, we have got a foothold and got used to the league so hopefully we can go up another gear and push on. It's a tough league and there are a lot of decent sides around the top of it. It is never going to be easy, especially after coming up last season, but we have got a good squad with good quality in it so we do expect to be up there."We are in a good position. We are up there but there's a lot of football to be played still. There will be lots of teams pushing to break into that top-three so we will be looking to keep our standards high and try and stay up there come the end of the season."

WHAT O'CONNOR SAID

Wrexham are flying in League Two in their first season in the Football League after 15 years away. There is currently a three-point buffer between Wrexham and the play-off places, although fourth-place Barrow have played one game more.
