Telasco Segovia produced a moment of brilliance to give Inter Miami the lead against Club Necaxa in their second Leagues Cup 2025 match. The Venezuelan midfielder received a well-weighted pass from Rodrigo De Paul before unleashing a spectacular curling effort from outside the penalty area that flew into the net beyond the reach of the Necaxa goalkeeper.

However, Necaxa striker Tomás Badaloni equalized for the away side 20 minutes after Segovia's strike.

Segovia's goal came at a crucial moment for the Herons, arriving shortly after captain Lionel Messi was forced to leave the pitch with a muscle injury just 10 minutes into the contest.

Inter Miami will look to secure qualification to the knockout stages of the Leagues Cup 2025 as they continue their campaign. The Herons are in a strong position after beating Atlas 2-1 in their opening game. They will face Pumas UNAM in their final group stage game of the tournament on Aug. 6.
