The United States international broke the deadlock for Milan in their latest Serie A fixture as he netted on the hour mark at San Siro. That effort paved the way for the Rossoneri to go on and secure a 2-0 win – claiming three priceless points in the process.

Pulisic now has three efforts to his name in the Italian top-flight – having netted just once through 30 appearances for Chelsea last season – and is making a positive impression in Milan on the back of his €22 million (£19m/$23m) summer transfer.

He has had plenty to celebrate on the back of that switch, but his dad looked remarkably calm when seeing his son hit the net against Lazio. The video of his understated reaction to a vital goal has gone viral, but Pulisic did not appear overly surprised at seeing his father remain seated when shown the clip in question.

Pulisic was dropped to the bench for AC Milan’s opening Champions League game of 2023-24 against Newcastle, but will be hoping to retain his place in Stefano Pioli’s starting XI when the Rossoneri face his former employers Borussia Dortmund at Signal Iduna Park on Wednesday.
