USMNT star Christian Pulisic named finalist for Serie A Midfielder of the Season award

Pulisic has had a stellar maiden campaign with the Rossoneri, netting 19 goal contributions across Serie A action. As such, he's been named a finalist for Serie A Midfielder of the Season alongside Inter's Hakan Calhanoglu and Atalanta's Teun Koopmeiners.

Calhanoglu scored 13 goals for the Serie A title winners, while Koopmeiners found the back of the net 12 times for fifth-place Atalanta. The duo had fantastic campaigns themselves, meaning Pulisic is in both good company and among strong competition.

Despite primarily playing on the wing in the attack, the U.S. international has been included in candidacy for the award, and he's now close to ending his debut campaign with a prize of his own.

Pulisic is the first Milan midfielder since former Ballon d'Or winner Ricardo Kaka to reach double digits in goals and assists for the Rossoneri across all competitions in one season.

The Rossoneri have one match left this campaign, which will round out Pulisic's first full season in Milan. Milan are set to close the season with a visit from Salernitana and the award winner will be announced shortly thereafter.
