Ukraine star Vitaliy Mykolenko admits he 'doesn't know anything about football' after making terrible Scotland prediction for Euro 2024 opener against Germany

Ahead of the Euro 2024 opener between Germany and Scotland, the Ukraine international had made a prediction that either Scotland would upset the hosts with a win or would hold them to a draw. However, in reality, the Germans routed the Scots 5-1 to begin their journey on a high.

After his prediction went wrong, Mykolenko publicly admitted that he did not understand football as Scotland managed to take just one shot against the host nation and had only 27 per cent possession throughout the game.

Speaking to a reporter, the 25-year-old said, "I was for the Scots, and I said there would be a draw or the Scots would win, but I realised that I don't know anything about football because they didn't even make a single shot."

The Toffees defender will be in action on Monday as Ukraine begin their Euro 2024 journey against Romania at Allianz Arena in Munich.
