The Gunners have made the move to secure Lewis-Skelly's future after a brilliant breakthrough campaign last season that drew interest from Real Madrid. According to The Athletic, the new deal will include a hefty salary increase that will make him one of best-paid youngsters in the world.

    Manager Mikel Arteta was said to have played a crucial role in the contract talks as he aims to lock down Lewis-Skelly's future. The 18-year-old made 39 appearances for Arsenal last season, famously scoring his first goal for the club against Manchester City and then imitating Erling Haaland's celebration. His performances for the Gunners also saw Lewis-Skelly handed a maiden call-up to the England squad, and he scored on his debut against Latvia at Wembley.
