Wantaway United forward Rashford has reportedly set his sights on joining Barcelona following his ousting from the first team under head coach Ruben Amorim. But the 27-year-old may have to look elsewhere after a new development.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Barca feel a deal for Rashford is 'highly unlikely' due to their financial fair play issues. He adds Aston Villa have enquired about the Red Devils man following Jhon Duran's move to Al-Nassr.

Rashford, whose contract at United runs until 2028, has not played for United for nearly two months now after falling out of favour under Amorim.

Rashford, who has also been linked with AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund, has until 11pm on Monday to seal a United exit before the transfer window shuts.
