Fighting talk! Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp gives defiant response to Man City’s 23-game winning streak ahead of blockbuster Premier League clash

City welcome Liverpool to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday in a huge clash at the Premier League summit. City are currently top of the league and are one point clear of the Reds, with their immense home form being a major factor. They have not lost any of their last 23 games at the stadium - but the trip holds no fear for Klopp.

Pressed on City's run, Klopp told reporters: "Well, I know that the longer a run is going, the more likely it ends."

Last season at the Etihad, Liverpool lost 4-1, but they have history of winning at the stadium. In 2022, they won 3-2 in the FA Cup, and have also been victorious in Manchester in the Champions League, winning 2-1 in 2018.

Klopp will be out to move Liverpool back to the top of the Premier League table; the Reds must win to do so, as their goal difference is inferior to City's.
