Kylian Mbappe backed to become Real Madrid ‘phenomenon’ once ‘emotional issues’ have been solved by latest ‘Galactico’ at Santiago Bernabeu

The World Cup winner became another ‘Galactico’ at Santiago Bernabeu during the summer of 2024. A slow start to life with the Blancos saw early questions asked of whether Mbappe – who is being deployed as a central striker – was the right option for Real.

He has told AS: “I think he is spectacular. It is true that he has not started at Real Madrid at his best level, but when he solves his emotional problems and is fully adapted he will enjoy and succeed because he has everything you can ask of an attacking player. He is a phenomenon and I bet he will succeed for sure.”

Mbappe is up to 13 goals for the season, through 23 appearances, and is beginning to look more settled. A smile has returned to his face, as off-field distractions are removed, and he can now set about becoming the fearsome No.9 that Real always believed that he would be for them.
