Another injury blow for Liverpool! Alexis Mac Allister limps off in Sheffield United clash in latest concern for Jurgen Klopp

The Argentine midfielder dealt with some heavy tackles in a midfield battle at Bramall Lane throughout the first half. He emerged for the second period but went down shortly before the hour mark and had to be taken off, with Curtis Jones taking his place.

The injury will come as a big concern for manager Jurgen Klopp. He was recently hit with another fitness issue as Joel Matip went off injured in the weekend's clash against Fulham and the German coach has revealed that he is expected to be out for some time. The Reds are already without the likes of Alisson, Diogo Jota, Thiago Alcantara, Stefan Bajcetic and Andy Robertson.

Mac Allister has been an important figure for Liverpool since joining from Brighton in the summer transfer window. The World Cup winner has missed only one Premier League game this season, having been suspended for the 3-0 win against Brentford last month.

Klopp will be hoping that Mac Allister's injury is not a serious one as he already has enough problems to deal with. It is not yet known if the Argentina star will be available for their weekend's clash against Crystal Palace.
