'It's impossible' - Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca insists he cannot keep everyone happy as multiple Blues players head for January exit

The Italian coach made it clear that 'it's not possible' for him to keep every player by giving them ample game time, amid rumours of Chelsea being ready to part ways with a host of out-of-favour players. Stars like Ben Chilwell, Axel Disasi, Carney Chukwuemeka and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall have been deemed surplus to the manager's needs and are likely to exit Stamford Bridge in the January transfer window. French attacker Christopher Nkunku is also reportedly frustrated with his limited appearances for the Blues and could consider leaving the club either in the January window or wait until next summer to make a move out of the club.

Speaking to reporters, the Chelsea head coach said: "It’s impossible, two months not playing and they won't be happy. First of all our target is to do the best for the club and the team, win games. If we can keep the players happy they are happy. If they don’t play they won’t be happy. If I sell all the players that aren’t happy, we stay here with 12 players. Our intention is not to move players."

Young defender Renato Veiga could leave the Premier League giants in January, just six months after joining the club from FC Basel. Veiga is looking to play more minutes as a central defender and has reportedly agreed personal terms with Borussia Dortmund.

The west London side will be back in action in the Premier League on Tuesday as they host Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge.
