Libero, a German investor fund, bought a 9.8% stake in Bridgeburg Invest S.L, which is the holding company of Barca Vision and in return promised to pay the club €60m. Despite an agreement between the two parties, Libero, to date, <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/news/barcelona-desperately-searching-funds-after-economic-levers-fail-swing-favor-of-catalan-club/blt7b4f00f65b010f65" target="_blank">has paid just €20m out of the promised €60m sum</a>, to the Catalan giants.Libero were reportedly given a deadline of December 31 to clear their dues and now, according to <a href="https://efe.com/deportes/2023-12-31/barsa-vision-libero-demanda/" target="_blank">EFE</a>, the reigning La Liga champions are planning to sue the firm.

WHAT HAPPENED?

The deal with Libero in the summer allowed the club to register loan signees Joao Felix and Joao Cancelo on the deadline day. With Libero faltering in payment of their dues, <a href="https://www.football-espana.net/2023/10/02/la-liga-put-out-statement-on-barcelona-economic-lever-the-payment-has-not-been-made" target="_blank">Blaugrana president Joan Laporta is looking for other investments</a> and is confident of landing another investor soon.
