Atalanta hoping for Yunus Musah compromise from AC Milan with €25m offer for USMNT midfielder lined up

According to Calciomercato, Milan want €30 million (£25m/$35m) for Musah, while Atalanta aim to seal the deal for €25m (£22m/$29m) plus bonuses. However, Atalanta must first sell Marco Brescianini to Napoli before completing a move for Musah, and with Milan already searching for a replacement, the American's deal could spark a domino effect across Serie A.

Musah joined Milan from Valencia in 2023, but his time at the club has been difficult. Goalless in two seasons, he's remained on the fringes of the squad. Despite being valued by coach Massimiliano Allegri, Milan have listed the USMNT midfielder for sale, with Nottingham Forest interested in his signature.

Milan have identified Bologna’s Giovanni Fabbian as a replacement for Musah. A product of Inter’s academy, Fabbian joined Bologna in 2023 and is known for his box to box style and ability to make late runs into the opposition area, qualities Allegri is said to have requested to Milan's management. Bologna currently value him at €25m (£22m/$29m).

Musah will be hoping Atalanta make a decisive move for him after being left out of Milan’s opening league match against Cremonese. Atalanta, meanwhile, are pushing for Milan to lower their asking price in ongoing negotiations.
