Arsenal player ratings vs Wolves: Bukayo Saka & Martin Odegaard are starboys but slack & nervy Gunners must be much more ruthless or it'll be Man City's title yet again

Arsenal extended their lead at the top of the Premier League as they claimed a 2-1 home win against Wolves on Saturday afternoon.

Mikel Arteta's side scored twice inside the opening 20 minutes, first through Bukayo Saka and then through captain Martin Odegaard, to seize control of the contest early on and become only the fifth team in Europe's top five leagues to score more than 100 goals this calendar year.

They then cruised through the remainder of the game, before Matheus Cunha seized on a mistake from Oleksandr Zinchenko with just four minutes remaining to set up a nervy finish.

The league leaders saw out the closing stages, however, and should have extended their advantage, but substitute Eddie Nketiah hit the post when clean through.
