WENGER CHOOSES ARSENAL SUCCESSOR

Arsene Wenger has chosen the manager he would like to replace him at Arsenal, with Giovanni van Bronckhorst his number one choice, according to the Daily Star .

Wenger's contract with the Gunners expires in 2019, and the 68-year-old believes that Feyenoord manager Van Bronckhorst is the ideal candidate to take over at the Emirates.


REAL MADRID WANT PSG'S RABIOT

Real Madrid want PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot to be their long-term replacement for Luka Modric, according to Don Balon .

Madrid are already planning Modric's succession at Santiago Bernabeu, with the Croatia international set to turn 33 next year. Rabiot is one of club president Florentino Perez's main targets, along with Tottenham attacker Dele Alli.


DORTMUND SCOUT MAN UTD TARGET

Borussia Dortmund are keeping an eye on Manchester United target Dimitri Oberlin and his Basel team-mate Manuel Akanji, according to Blick .

Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc was in Switzerland to watch 20-year-old Oberlin feature in the Champions League win over United. The attacker rejected United as a youngster but has attracted interest from them once again with his bright displays for Basel. The German side could compete with the Red Devils for the Switzerland Under 21 international, but as he is on loan with an option to join Basel at the end of the season, they may have to wait to get him.

They have a better chance of going after 22-year-old defender Akanji, who is in his third season with the club and expected to move on soon, and Zorc is said to have been there to watch him on Wednesday too.


PSG CHASE FELLAINI

Paris Saint-Germain wish to sign Marouane Fellaini from Manchester United at the end of the season, Le 10 Sport   reports.

Unai Emery's side want a backup to Thiago Motta in midfield and see the physical Belgian as the perfect option. 

They could sign him for zero cost - important given their massive outlay on Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, which have FFP implications.


COURTOIS DEMANDS GIANT CONTRACT INCREASE

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibault Courtois is demanding a massive salary hike if he is to stay at Chelsea, Belgian outlet HLN   reports.

The 25-year-old is being followed by Real Madrid, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain, and he is ready to open talks with those clubs if he does not get an offer he deems acceptable. 

He wants €230,000 per week - taking him in line with the Premier League's best paid goalkeepers, like Manchester United's David de Gea.


RAGNICK TOP OF EVERTON'S SHORTLIST

With Everton having accepted defeat in their pursuit of Marco Silva, they have turned their attention to hiring Ralf Ragnick as their new manager, The Daily Mail   reports.

The German is currently the sporting director at RB Leipzig, who have enjoyed a stellar rise to success in the Bundesliga.


SOLER DEMANDS £45M MAN UTD MOVE

Valencia midfielder Carlos Soler has demanded his club agree a January deal for him to move to Manchester United, claims  The Sun .

United manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly identified the Spain Under 21 international as his No.1 target to improve his creative midfield options in the New Year.

Though Soler has an €80 million release clause in his contract, the player wants Valencia to accept £45m from United, so he can complete a transfer to the Premier League.


MAN UTD HOLD DEMBELE TALKS

Manchester United have held talks with Celtic about the possibility of signing French striker Moussa Dembele, reports L'Equipe .

The 21-year-old was set to move to Chelsea last summer, but saw a deadline-day transfer fall through. However, his form for both Celtic and France's Under-21 side has seen demand increase, with United now in the running to sign him.


LIVERPOOL WANT DRAXLER LOAN

Liverpool are looking to sign Julian Draxler from PSG on loan, according to reports in L'Equipe .

The 24-year-old has started just seven games so far this season in Ligue 1 following the signings of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, and could be encouraged to move to Anfield for more first-team action ahead of the World Cup.


ATLETICO WANT COURTOIS BACK

Atletico Madrid will move to bring Thibaut Courtois back to the club from Chelsea if Jan Oblak leaves next summer, according to AS .

The Belgian goalkeeper has previously spent three productive years on loan at Atletico, helping them to the Liga title, and is yet to sign an extension to a contract at Stamford Bridge which is due to expire in 2019.


MAN UTD TO MAKE ANOTHER MOVE FOR OBERLIN

Manchester United have not given up on their bid to sign Red Bull Salzburg striker Dimitri Oberlin, according to a report from  TuttoMercatoWeb .

The 20-year-old forward, who is currently on loan at FC Basel, was said to have rejected the opportunity previously, but the Old Trafford side are planning to trigger his €5 million release clause.


MAN CITY COULD LOSE WONDERKID TO LIVERPOOL

Liverpool are hopeful of signing Manchester City starlet Javairo Dilrosun, according to ESPN .

City will be hopeful of keeping hold of the 19-year-old after losing Jadon Sancho to Borussia Dortmund in the summer, but Juventus, RB Leipzig and Valencia are also interested, as well as the Bundesliga club themselves.


ARSENAL PLOT GORETZKA TALKS

BARCA PLOT €20M OZIL MOVE

Barcelona believe a €20 million offer will be enough to sign Mesut Ozil from Arsenal in January,  Mundo Deportivo   reports.

The Catalan side have picked the 29-year-old attacking midfielder as a potential alternative to their top target Philippe Coutinho.

Ozil will be a much cheaper alternative as he reportedly has no interest in signing a new contract, meaning Arsenal could take the money in January before he leaves on a free in the summer.


MADRID TO MAKE €30M ALEXIS MOVE

The Chilean is out of contract in summer 2018 and with it not looking likely he will extend his stay at Emirates Stadium, the Gunners are willing to sell to Zinedine Zidane's side for a small fee.

Manchester United’s David de Gea remains Real Madrid’s No.1 goalkeeping target for next summer, according to Cadena SER

Madrid have been linked with a move for Kepa Arrizabalaga, but would prefer to spend €70 million on trying to sign De Gea than paying €50m for the Athletic Bilbao keeper.


STURRIDGE WANTS JANUARY MOVE

Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge wants to leave the club in January, the Daily Mirror reports.

The 28-year-old has started just four games under Jurgen Klopp this season, and he feels he needs a change of scenery to salvage his hopes of playing for England at the World Cup next summer.

A loan is possible for Sturridge, who has scored three goals for Liverpool in all competitions this season.
