Jurgen Klopp is weighing up a January move for Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic, according to Spanish outlet Diario Gol.

Liverpool may soon need a replacement for the seemingly Barcleona-bound Coutinho and Klopp is said to see Kovacic as the man to fill the Brazilian's shoes.

And with Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Isco and Casemiro all ahead of Kovacic in the pecking order, plus Dani Ceballos and Marcos Llorente also on the fringes, an exit from the Santiago Bernabeu may be on the cards.


MASCHERANO OFF TO CHINA

Eager to get in more playing time ahead of the World Cup in 2018, Javier Mascherano could consider a move to Manuel Pellegrini's Hebei China Fortune, Mundo Deportivo claims.

The report suggests the Chinese Super League outfit have offered the Argentine a salary of €7 million per year and lodged a big of €6m to Barcelona themselves.


PORTO WANT CITY'S DANILO

Portuguese outfit Porto are interested in bringing Man City full-back Danilo back to the club, according to The Sun.

The Brazilian has struggled for game time since his move from Real Madrid and could be open to a return to Estadio do Dragao for the remainder of the season.


MALAGA WANT PSG'S LUCAS

La Liga side Malaga are interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain winger Lucas Moura, according to RMC Sport.

The Spanish club have relayed their interest to the Ligue 1 champions and are hopeful they can reach an agreement to sign the player on loan in the winter transfer window.


DORTMUND WON'T SELL AUBAMEYANG

Borussia Dortmund will not sell Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang during the January transfer window, according to Sport Bild .

Aubameyang had been keen to leave Dortmund in the summer, but no offers met his €70 million valuation and he has been linked with a departure in the New Year.

The likes of Chelsea, Everton, Liverpool and Real Madrid are all said to be interested in Aubameyang, but Dortmund want to keep the Gabon forward to boost their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League.


LIVERPOOL LINE UP ATLETICO DEFENDER

Liverpool have joined Napoli in showing an interest in Atletico Madrid full-back Sime Vrsaljko, according to Corriere dello Sport.

Napoli have been hoping to sign the Croatia international in a €25 million deal in January, but could face late competition from Liverpool.

The English sides are said to be preparing offers upwards of £20 million for the Germany youth international, who has been vital for the Bundesliga side this term with four goals in 18 games in all competitions.

Casilla, who had been linked with a switch to Newcastle United last summer, is reportedly surplus to requirements and will be available if Real can secure his replacement.
