LAFC are set to sign Egyptian fullback Omar Gaber on a six-month loan deal with an option to make the move permanent in the summer, reports Kingfut.com .

The defender has struggled for playing time at Basel this season and LA manager Bob Bradley, a former Egypt coach, wants him to join up with the expansion side. 


DEMPSEY SIGNS SOUNDERS EXTENSION

Clint Dempsey has signed a deal to play with the Seattle Sounders through 2018, reports ESPN

The 34-year-old will continue on as one of the club's three designated players, though full terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

The England Under-21 international, who is valued at around £6 million, has compiled 14 goals and 13 assists in 59 appearances over two MLS seasons.

AC Milan is among the clubs considering a move for Atlanta United playmaker Miguel Almiron, according to Metro .

The Serie A giants reportedly are considering an $18 million move for the 23-year-old Paraguay international, who also is said to have drawn interest from Inter Milan and Premier League sides. Almiron recorded nine goals and 14 assists in his debut MLS campaign, earning a spot on the shortlist for league MVP honors.


DEMPSEY DISCUSSING NEW SOUNDERS DEAL

Clint Dempsey is discussing a new deal that would see the 34-year-old return to the Seattle Sounders in 2018, according to FourFourTwo .

The U.S. national team veteran has an option for 2018 on his current deal but seems poised to come back on a new contract at a lower salary. Dempsey, who remains tied with Landon Donovan on 57 goals as the U.S. team's all-time leading scorer, has 14 goals in MLS play this year after returning from a career-threatening heart condition.

Former U.S. national team goalkeeper Brad Friedel has emerged as the top target for the New England Revolution's coaching vacany, ESPN 's Taylor Twellman reports.

Friedel has been head coach of the U.S. Under-19 national team since January 2016, and the longtime Premier League veteran also has served as an assistant for the U-20 U.S. squad.

Bayern Munich playmaker James Rodriguez is considering a move to Orlando City or New York City FC, according to Don Balon .

The Colombia international joined Bayern on a two-year loan move from Real Madrid this past summer, but the firing of manager Carlo Ancelotti has left his future at the Allianz Arena up in the air.

James could sign with Orlando as a replacement for departing playmaker Kaka, with NYCFC seen as the less likely option.

The 41-year-old Italian legend, who is in his second season as coach of Miami FC in the second-tier NASL, played for Montreal from 2012 to 2013. The Impact sit seventh in the Eastern Conference at 11-13-6 this season, three points out of the final playoff spot.


DE JONG NOT JOINING D.C. UNITED

Reports out of Turkey last week said that the former LA Galaxy midfielder would be leaving Galatasaray to join the MLS side on a free transfer this winter, with the Washington Post having claimed the club was in talks with the midfielder at the end of July. 


PALMER-BROWN SET FOR PSV LOAN?

The Sporting Kansas City defender reportedly has signed a pre-contract to join City once his MLS deal expires this winter, but his inability to secure a UK work permit means he'll need to go on loan.
