Latest Transfer Odds: Hazard set for Chelsea stay after Real Madrid drop interest

Eden Hazard looks set to stay at Chelsea after a summer of speculation, according to the latest bookmaker odds.

The Belgium star is just 1/4 (1.25) with SportPesa to remain a Blues player for the upcoming season, after being 11/10 (2.10) just a week ago.

Real Madrid were in the driving seat at 20/33 (1.61) last week to land Hazard, who scored 12 Premier League goals last season, but have now been pushed out to 3/1 (4.0) by the online bookmaker.

Following the surprise sale of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus, Real are in the market for a new playmaker and Hazard – a player they have long courted – appeared to fit that bill.

The 27-year-old fuelled the fire that he was planning a move to the Spanish capital, saying after Belgium’s third-place play-off win over England: “After six wonderful years at Chelsea it might be time to discover something different.”

However, Los Blancos appear to have backed down after Chelsea reportedly placed a £200m price tag on Hazard and now he looks set to stay in London.

Even the lure of Champions League football does not seem to have persuaded Hazard to attempt to force a move through, with Chelsea playing in the Europa League next season.

Rumours suggest that Real have since turned their attentions to another Chelsea star in Willian, but Goal’s Nizaar Kinsella understands that no formal bid has been made.

The Brazil winger is currently 2/1 (3.0) to sign with the Champions League holders, whilst a stay at the Blues can be backed at 20/33 (1.61) or a move to Manchester United is 13/10 (2.30).
