Brazil coach Dunga has named his preliminary 40-man squad for this year’s Copa America Centenario, with the list due to be cut down to a final 23 on May 5.
As expected, Neymar was not included as he will instead play the Rio Olympics, while Real Madrid’s Marcelo missis out. Paris Saint-Germain’s David Luiz was a surprise omission.
A number of players are earning their first call-ups under Dunga and now face a nervous wait until the squad is announced next week.
Any replacements to the final 23 must be made from this list of 40.
