Manchester United bowed out of Europe with a whimper as a 1-0 defeat to Bayern Munich wrapped up a miserable Champions League campaign for Erik ten Hag's men.
The Red Devils finished bottom of Group A, with just four points collected from six UCL games. The real damage was not done against the reigning German champions, who cruised to victory despite having already qualified prior to their trip to Old Trafford.
When the draw was made, many predicted that United would breeze through alongside Bayern in a group that also contained less-fancied FC Copenhagen and Galatasaray.
But the three-time European champions won just one of four meetings home and away against Copenhagen and Galatasaray, mustering only four points, and conceding 11 goals in the process.

The Red Devils defeated Coventry City 4-2 on penalties in the FA Cup semi-finals, setting up a repeat of last year's final where they were narrowly beaten 2-1 by city rivals Manchester City at the Wembley Stadium.
