Player Ratings: Bordeaux 2-1 Olympiacos (Agg: 3-1)

Carrasso: 6.5 -
Was a spectator for most of the game until Mitroglou's stunning strike woke everybody up. Powerless to do anything about it.

Chalme: 6.5 -
Got forward regularly in the first half when Bordeaux bossed the contest. Was culpable in the second 45 minutes of some slack marking when the Greeks came into the game.

Sane: 7 -
Executed an excellent sliding tackle in the first half when he tracked back to deny Lua Lua who was about to break free. Gave Derbyshire little joy until the Olympiacos striker was sent off.

Ciani: 6.5 -
Strong in the air where he won practically every ball and was always a threat to add to his goalscoring record from set-pieces. Let Mitroglou get away for a split second to score his equaliser.

Tremoulinas: 8 -
Excellent. More of a winger than a full-back as he charged forward at every opportunity. Fizzed in a number of terrific crosses saving the best for last for Chamakh's late winner.

Fernando: 6 -
Less effective than the first leg as he saw less of the ball tonight with Gourcuff stealing the show.

Diarra: 5 -
The captain returned to action but a moment of madness saw him get sent off barely two minutes after picking up his first booking. Will argue that he was going for the ball with his second bookable offence but should have known better.

Plasil: 6.5 - Fizzed a shot wide in the first half and was lucky to emerge with his leg intact after a horror challenge from Derbyshire which resulted in a red card for the English forward.

Gourcuff: 8.5 -
Scored a beauty of a goal with a swirling, dipping free kick and almost notched up a second with a carbon copy of it later on. Was full of intricate touches and flicks in a quality all round performance. Perhaps Milan should have hung onto him.

Wendel: 6.5  -
Didn't run at defenders in the same manner of the first leg and made a hash of his set-pieces when he tried to usurp Gourcuff from the dead ball.

Chamakh: 7 -
Scored a bullet header at the death with a goal any centre forward would be proud of. Should have had a second when he raced clear on goal only to overrun the ball when he had the goal at his mercy.

Nikopolidis: 5.5 -
Not a vintage night between the sticks for the veteran. Should have done better for both goals as he was caught ball watching and did the same for Gourcuff's free kick effort which smacked the post. In his defence he made a couple of charging clearances.

Torosidis: 6.5  -
Booked right at the start for a challenge on Wendel which led to the opening goal. Curled in a fine cross which Raul Bravo almost converted into a shock winner.

A.Papadopoulous: 6 -
Couldn't get a handle on Gourcuff when the French wizard was weaving his magic in the first half.

Mellberg: 6.5 -
A strong presence as you'd expect from the seasoned campaigner. Won some last ditch headers when Olympiacos were hanging on but was sent off after the final whistle for dissent.

Raul Bravo: 6.5 -
Like the first leg he was hit and miss with his crosses and almost scored with a flick near the end which crept agonisingly wide.

Maresca: 5.5 -
Rarely involved with one speculative shot the best of his night's work.

Stoltidis: 5.5 -
Failed to really impose himself on the game and lost the midfield battle.

Zairi: 7 -
Was the stand out performer for the Greeks in the first half as he ran at the Bordeaux defence and curled in some decent crosses which deserved better. Unlucky to be withdrawn on the hour mark even if his replacement was Mitroglou.

Lua Lua: 6 -
Not a patch on his performance in the first leg and did little throughout the game aside from one decent pass for Derbyshire's ruled out goal.

Datolo: 6.5 -
Sailed in some fine set-pieces but really didn't see enough of the ball to make full use of his ability.

Derbyshire: 5.5 -
Silly boy. Completely starved of service but worked hard until he was sent off for two bookable offences the second of which was a horror tackle. Had the ball in the back of the net on his Champions League starting debut with a good finish which was ruled out for offside.

Mitroglou: 7 -
What an introduction! Scored a brilliant goal with a one-touch volley to bring his side back into the game. Immediately ran to the bench to signal 'why wasn't I on before'. He was right.

Ledesma: - N/A
