Vinicio Fioranelli: Roma Takeover To Be Completed Soon

The FIFA agent is adamant that negotiations to acquire a majority stake in the Giallorossi are nearing completion.
Italpetroli, the holding company which indirectly controls Serie A club Roma, issued a statement last night announcing that the conditions to negotiate with the Swiss group headed by agent Vinicio Fioranelli “have not been realised.”

But Fioranelli has moved to reassure the Lupi supporters that he still intends to take the reins and he is optimistic about a deal.

“It’s not over and I am serene,” he said to the Corriere dello Sport.

“We were aware that this would have been a difficult transaction. As it turned out, it is very difficult. Nonetheless, I am confident and we want to buy Roma.

“We have not failed in our bid. We are moving forward, step by step. We have the means to complete a deal. There are other problems…”

It is suggested that Fioranelli’s consortium has failed to meet the requirements set by Roma’s financial adviser Mediobanca.

“Buying Roma is not easy,” explained Fioranelli. “It’s a club with great social and political importance and we need extra care.

“There are a few unexpected problems, but this will motivate us even further to complete this negotiation. Is our offer in the region of €200million? Yes, that’s the figure, more or less.

“And we will be equally ready to invest to improve the squad. I am stubborn and I am not one to change my mind. We wanted Roma and still want them. I think that in four or five days we’ll see the end of it.”
