SAMPDORIA
Castellazzi - 6.5: Did not have too many saves to make, but did all that was required of him, and was safe on crosses.
Raggi - 7.0: Very solid game in defence for the former Palermo man before he was forced off with injury. Raggi's flick-on led created Cassano's opener.
Lucchini - 8.0: Outstanding at the heart of the defence, making a number of key interventions, including on Pato and Inzaghi. A rock.
Accardi - 6.5: Formed a solid three-man backline alongside Raggi and Lucchini. Used the ball well too.
Stankevicius - 6.5: Never stopped running until he was substituted, and was involved in an interesting first half battle against Zambrotta.
Sammarco - 7.0: Very lively this afternoon, and popped up in all areas of the pitch. All-action display.
Franceschini - 6.5: Helped Sampdoria win the midfield battle, without really standing out.
Palombo - 7.5: Dominated Pirlo and Beckham in the middle-of-the-park, and his set-pieces were also dangerous, taking the corner for Cassano's goal.
Pieri - 7.0: Bombed up and down the left flank, and was particularly succesful in the first half. His delivery on crosses was also good.
Pazzini - 7.5: Pazzini's movement is up there with the very best, and the Milan defence did not know if they were coming or going today. Fantastic goal to double Samp's lead.
Cassano - 8.5: Truly magical this afternoon. Milan just could not get the ball off him. Scored the first, made the second, and displayed his full repertoire of tricks and flicks.

MILAN
Abbiati - 6.5: Made a great save from Cassano's early free kick, but could do nothing to prevent Samp's two goals. A little suspect on crosses today.
Antonini - 5.0: Struggled in the first half, particularly when Cassano drifted out to the left. Also allowed Pieri to get in behind him too many times. Subbed at half time.
Bonera - 4.0: Terrorised by the movement of Pazzini all game, and was humiliatingly placed on his backside by the striker for Samp's second goal.
Senderos - 4.0: The other half of the Laurel and Hardy comedy act. Cassano ran rings around the clumsy Swiss international, and it was 'Another Fine Mess'.
Zambrotta - 6.0: The best of a bad bunch at the back, Zambrotta made one fantastic recovery tackle on Pazzini as the striker raced through.
Beckham - 5.5: Has not been at his best since the Milan derby, and this was the case again this afternoon, despite a number of sweet long-range passes.
Pirlo - 5.5: Sprayed a few passes around the pitch, but failed to dictate the tempo, and created no real danger when he came forward. Second best against Palombo.
Flamini - 6.5: One of Milan's better players today, at least Flamini mixed it with the Sampdoria midfield, and competed. Shot just wide on 28 minutes.
Jankulovski - 5.5: Started at left midfield, then switched to left back, and did not excel in either role. Looked a little jaded.
Seedorf - 6.0: Had numerous attempts on goal, and was involved, but Seedorf slowed down the play too much. Not on top form at the moment.
Pato - 7.0: Electric at times, especially in the first half, but was not offered the support from his team-mates, and had too much to do on his own. Headed home to give Milan late hope.
