Cristiano Ronaldo gives brutal response to ex-Real Madrid co-star Rafael van der Vaart after Dutchman brands Al-Nassr hero 'unbelievably selfish'

The retired Dutch international admitted in an interview with Talksport that Ronaldo was "a little ahead of his time", but he also criticised his former teammate for being "unbelievably selfish" when the pair were playing together at Madrid during the 2009-10 season.

Commenting on the Instagram post bearing the quote that Ronaldo was selfish, the Al-Nassr star himself dismissed the ex-Ajax and Netherlands midfielder, commenting: "Who is that guy?"

Van der Vaart also discussed the Portuguese icon's devotion to training, with the Dutchman saying: "He never left his house. I always say as a joke - Ronaldo is the only player that I never saw his penis. He was the first one on the training pitch and the last one who went."

Ronaldo probably won't be troubling himself over Van der Vaart's comments for too long; the Al-Nassr forward is in action for his club on Friday for a big clash against league leaders Al-Ittihad. With the latter clubchasing a ninth Saudi Pro League title, Ronaldo and his team-mates will have their work cut out and need to close the gap if they are to stay in the title race this season.
