Massimo Moratti: Inter Must Stay Focused On The Scudetto

Nerazzurri supremo calls for caution.
Inter president Massimo Moratti has urged his players not to neglect their domestic duties as the Nerazzurri prepare to face Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League semi-final.

“We will have to be very careful in the championship because it would be horrible to lose it, but the other teams have caught up with us so we have to be careful," he told the club's official website.

Inter host Barcelona at San Siro in just over 10 days and following Lionel Messi’s heroics against Arsenal in the quarter-finals, Moratti admitted he was hoping he wouldn’t witness a repeat performance from the Argentina international.

"He is an exceptional player,” Moratti admitted. “I like seeing him improve all the time, but I hope he doesn't play the same way against us.

“Of course, it will be a very difficult encounter but we will face it with all the necessary responsibility, and the rematch will be interesting after what happened last time,” he concluded.
