Mayor of Port Harcourt becomes Dolphins' No. 1 fan

The Port-Harcourt side is set to enjoy a new lease of life as an influential member of the State is now its number one supporter
The Mayor of Port Harcourt, Hon. Chimbiko Akarolo is now a Dolphins fan and has vowed to attend all Dolphins' home game.

Starting with today home match against Kano Pillars, Akarolo has said he will be at the stadium to cheer Dolphins to victory.

The management of the club had paid him a visit at his chambers, The City Council Hall on Friday, presented him a plaque and named him the number one Dolphins fan in Port Harcourt.

Dolphins General Manager, Dumbor Awanen told Akarolo that they felt they had to fraternize and identify with him since they represent the city and he is the Mayor.

Akarolo on his part said he will continue to identify with the team. “As a council we will identify with you and apart from when I am in the stadium, I will sponsor certain number of people to all your matches,” Akarolo said.

“I will be at the game against Pillars and every other home game you play. And if I cant make it for any game I will make sure I am ably represented.” He added that he will also assist the club financially.
