Watford collect their runners-up medals before Kompany lifts Man City's sixth FA Cup! That's all for the English domestic season. City will be back at Wembley in August for the Community Shield where they'll take on Liverpool, who may be European champions by then. What a game that'll be. See you then. Goodbye!
If Sterling is awarded City's second, he'll become the fourth player ever to score a hat-trick in an FA Cup final. The last? Stan Mortensen for Blackpool in 1953. Watford must be stunned. They gave a good account of themselves, despite the score, but you can't help but feel that Wolves would have given City more of a challenge. Wolves will be pleased with City's win by the way - it means they qualify for next season's Europa League.
'Wonderwall' by Manchester City superfans Oasis rings out over the Wembley tannoy as City celebrate a domestic treble and a record-matching FA Cup final win! City blew Watford away here, especially in the second half. After City survived an early scare and edged past Watford in the first half, De Bruyne came on and powered City to a famous victory, with Sterling grabbing a hat-trick.
90' + 2' FULL TIME: MANCHESTER CITY 6-0 WATFORD
90' + 2' City take the corner and Sane's shot from outside the box rolls wide. That'll be that in an astonishing cup final!
90' There will be two added minutes. Sane has a shot blocked at one end; Cleverley has his blocked at the other. City drive straight back at Watford and Gomes stops Stones, of all players, from setting the record!
89' De Bruyne has been on the pitch for half an hour and has a valid claim for being Man of the Match. The man is a force of nature.

Goal
Manchester City
87' GOAL! CITY HAVE MATCHED IT! Sterling grabs a hat-trick, it's 6-0, and City match the biggest ever winning margin in FA Cup final history! This is unbelievable. Bernardo Silva finds De Bruyne wide right, the Belgian fizzes in a low cross and Sterling sweeps the ball across Gomes into the far corner.
85' City get their first corner in a while as Bernardo Silva unleashes a shot from range and Femenia sticks a leg out. Watford get it away. For the record, the biggest margin of victory in an FA Cup final was Bury's 6-0 win over Derby County in 1903. City can match it.
83' The Watford end of Wembley have started waving their flags in unison again - in a show of defiance, not surrender. They're taking this defeat well. What else can they do?
Bernardo Silva
Kiến tạo
Manchester City
81' Bernardo Silva justifiably gets the assist. He's been one of City's best players this season and now he's got an assist in a memorable City performance.
R. Sterling
Goal
Manchester City
81' GOAL! 5-0 CITY! Bernardo Silva rolls the ball to Sterling at the far post who thrashes the ball high past Gomes into the net. This truly is a five star City side. They're beautiful and brutal in equal measure.
Kiko Femenía
Thẻ vàng
Watford
80' Femenia is booked for hindering Sane's progress down City's left wing. The Spaniard looks shattered.
J. Stones
David Silva
Manchester City
79' David Silva gets a well-deserved breather for the final 10 minutes. He'll make way for Stones.
77' Finally City slow the pace down as Watford decide to go for damage limitation. After City keep the ball for what feels like years, a misplaced pass for Sane rolls out of play.
75' Capoue fires another shot over Ederson's bar. City won't be worried by that. City have scored the most goals in an FA Cup this season since Chelsea scored 25 in 1969-70. This side are gunning for all the records.
T. Cleverley
W. Hughes
Watford
73' Watford make their final change. Hughes comes on for Cleverley. It won't make much difference.
L. Sané
İ. Gündoğan
Manchester City
73' An injured Gundogan trudges off and now Watford will have to deal with Sane's pace for the last 20 minutes. City's pursuit of victory under Guardiola is merciless.
72' Watford finally get another shot on target. Ederson saves Success' header from a Holebas cross. Capoue has a shot blocked and Doucoure blazes over. It's surely too little, too late.
70' De Bruyne somehow doesn't make it 5-0! The Belgian balloons the ball way over the bar after another quick City breakaway. City are rampant.
K. De Bruyne
Kiến tạo
Manchester City
68' Maybe bringing on De Bruyne for Mahrez wasn't harsh after all. The Belgian has single-handedly upped City's game since he came on with a goal and an assist. Imagine how good City would have been if he'd been fit all season. Terrifying.
Gabriel Jesus
Goal
Manchester City
68' GOAL! 4-0 CITY! Jesus gets a deserved goal. Just like De Bruyne's goal, Watford's defensive line is way too high and City punish them by winning the second ball. De Bruyne feeds in Jesus who dummies then slides the ball past Gomes.
I. Success
R. Pereyra
Watford
66' Pereyra is next to be sacrificed. Success makes his way onto the pitch.
A. Gray
Deulofeu
Watford
66' Watford go for broke. First, Deulofeu is replaced by Gray - he'll go straight up front with Deeney.
65' Pereyra's shot in the 11th minute remains Watford's only shot on target. How different this game might have been if he'd beaten Ederson then.
63' Watford smack a Sterling cross clear. Gracia looks like he's going to make some changes. City have gone up a level - they want to make a statement.
Gabriel Jesus

Manchester City
61' Jesus could have shot himself there but didn't. The Brazilian's been fantastic today.
K. De Bruyne
Goal
Manchester City
61' GOAL! 3-0 CITY! Guardiola's men surely have won the domestic treble now. Watford leave themselves wide open at the back. City find themselves two-on-one. Jesus lays off for De Bruyne who stops, leaves Gomes in the dust, and coolly rolls the ball into the net.
David Silva
Thẻ vàng
Manchester City
60' David Silva slips over while on the ball and blatantly stops Hughes from picking the ball up. It's an obvious yellow card.
59' Laporte gets on the end of Gundogan's delivery but heads wide. Up the other end, Deulofeu gets a sniff of goal and rolls a shot past Ederson's far post. City need to keep their concentration now that Watford have woken up.
57' Bernardo Silva dances inside from his new position on wide right. De Bruyne has all the time in the world to deliver a powerful cross and Cathcart belts the ball out for a corner.
K. De Bruyne
R. Mahrez
Manchester City
55' That's surprising - Mahrez trudges off to be replaced by De Bruyne, despite having a decent first half. Now it's Bernardo Silva's job to take on Holebas.
54' Watford fans call for handball again after Pereyra's ball in hits Kompany. Nothing happening there. Watford are pinning City back but aren't creating much yet.
53' Holebas delivers another long throw from the left. Ederson punches it clear. Watford aren't down and out just yet.
52' Deulofeu goes on a brilliant run through the middle past three City players. Pereyra finds Doucoure who tries to return it to the Spaniard but Kompany intercepts just in time.
50' Credit to Watford. They're giving this a go. Mahrez tricks his way past Holebas again and wins the free-kick. Holebas stays down injured briefly, although it does seem to be mostly his pride that's been hurt.
48' Now City go on the counter-attack! What a start to the half. Sterling shimmies away through the middle and feeds Jesus. The Brazilian shifts his feet and Gomes makes the save. Jesus gets the ball in the net from Zinchenko's corner but he's offside.
46' Man City get the second half going. Watford get an early chance as they one-two their way through the heart of City's defence. Pereyra doesn't get his shot off early enough and the chance is gone.
Watford need to overcome all the odds if they're going to win this. They haven't beaten Man City at all since 1989 and are on course for their 11th consecutive defeat by City in all competitions. They came back from this position against Wolves, of course, but Wolves aren't this City side.
Manchester City are 45 minutes from a domestic clean-sweep after David Silva became their second player to score in a League Cup and FA Cup final after the great Yaya Toure. Watford had a golden chance through Pereyra early on but couldn't capitalise on it. City soon took control and delivered a one-two punch through Silva and Sterling. Watford have to push forward in the second half now.
45' + 1' HALF TIME: MANCHESTER CITY 2-0 WATFORD
45' + 1' Holebas whips in a great delivery from the right. Ederson can't hold it but neither can Deulofeu at the far post. Watford keep the ball, then lose it, but City's counter-attack breaks down. That'll be all for now.
44' Watford win their first corner of the game right at the end of the half after Hughes then Femenia have shots blocked. There will be one added minute.
42' City have had almost 75% possession and have had 12 shots to Watford's two. Despite that, Watford have had the best chance of the lot. They must be kicking themselves.
40' Gomes is called into action again, saving Mahrez's shot. It's another City corner. Watford survive and Gundogan fouls Deulofeu to give them some temporary respite.
Gabriel Jesus
Goal
Manchester City
38' GOAL! 2-0 CITY! Watford needed to hang on until half time but couldn't. Bernardo Silva curls in a fantastic ball for Jesus at the back post. Jesus knocks the ball past the onrushing Gomes, and Sterling thrashes the ball into the net! It looked to be going in anyway, but you can't blame him for not taking any chances.

38' Jesus doesn't look too unhappy that Sterling has stolen his goal. Man City are 2-0 up and cruising. Watford need to recover quickly before the game slips away from them.
37' City get their seventh corner of the game. Watford haven't had any yet, but they hold firm again this time. Until...
36' City continue to probe, winning another corner. Watford are clinging on a little. Gundogan's ball in isn't fully cleared and City come again. Mahrez skips past Holebas, finding the space to whip the ball in. Cathcart gets in the way.
34' Jesus is offside from a through-ball by Gundogan. Going back to that David Silva goal, that was his first goal in 28 games. Incredible that he'd gone so long without scoring, given the quality of this City side.
33' Mariappa makes another crucial block after Bernardo Silva sneaks into Watford's box behind Doucoure! Both of Watford's centre-backs have been fantastic so far.
32' Mahrez keeps the ball moving after picking up a pass from Bernardo Silva. The ball bobbles up off Holebas and the Greek leaves it to go out for a throw-in, assuming it will be his. It isn't.
30' Hughes is fouled in midfield by David Silva. It's another free-kick for Watford. City get it out of their way without much difficulty.
28' Man City's fans find their voice for the first time, the tension relieved slightly. Gundogan has a shot blocked - it's another City corner. Mahrez does his usual trick of cutting inside and balloons an effort out of play.

26' There was a hint of offside from that header on from Sterling but on second viewing it's legal. After a close call earlier on, City have the lead!
David Silva
Goal
Manchester City
26' GOAL! 1-0 CITY! David Silva gets his first goal since the end of December! Watford dilly-dally in midfield and lose the ball. Sterling nods a loose ball down to Silva in the box. The City legend takes a left-footed shot which wrong-foots Gomes and rolls into the net.
25' Jesus wins City a corner after his swivel-and-shot takes a deflection off the knee of Mariappa. Watford get it away.
24' Mahrez teases Holebas again and this time elects to pass back, letting City continue to circulate the ball. They look wary of Watford's counter-attacking abilities.
A. Doucouré

Watford
21' Doucoure is booked for protesting the decision not to award a penalty. It's the right one though.
21' Watford are coming into this game. Hughes looks for Pereyra with a sliding pass which Walker blocks, but it rolls into the path of Doucoure! He shoots, but Kompany gets in the way and the referee Kevin Friend waves away handball!
19' Watford win a throw down their left and Holebas hurls it into City's area. Kompany manages to get rid. Watford keep the ball and Gomes' hopeful punt almost finds Pereyra. City work the ball out from the back despite the Hornets buzzing around them.
17' Mahrez - now being double-marked - suddenly comes to a stop and lofts the ball towards Jesus in the area. It bounces out of play harmlessly. Watford will be more worried about him shooting than making crosses like that.
15' Holebas asks for help from his teammates as Mahrez cuts inside again and he's forced to give away another corner. Watford defend it well. Mahrez picks up the ball once more but this time his cross is deflected, taking all the sting out of it.
14' Watford win a valuable free-kick in the centre of the pitch after Deeney is fouled by Laporte. City see it away. The Hornets can barely get out of their own half at the moment, but surely they have prepared for that.
13' Mahrez whips in another cross from the right. The Algerian's been lively so far. Cathcart heads it away. Bernardo Silva tries again, and Cathcart heads that away too. The centre-back looks alert today.
12' Bernardo Silva takes a shot from outside the box after receiving the ball from Mahrez. This time Gomes is equal to it. This game is living up to the billing of a cup final so far.
10' City keep hold of the ball after a failed set-piece. Zinchenko gives the ball away with an over-eager pass and suddenly Deulofeu is away down the right! He crosses to Pereyra with City's defence wide open but Ederson makes a fantastic point-blank save!
9' As expected, the possession is all City's. David Silva dances through the midfield, pauses briefly, then tries to set Sterling free down the left. The pass is too powerful and rolls out for a goal kick.
7' City get their first chance of the game! Bernardo Silva ghosts forward from a deep position and almost finds Jesus with a short cross before Cathcart makes a vital clearance.
6' A Mahrez cross into the box from the right goes awry. Deulofeu holds the ball up and finds Femenia bursting forward from full-back. The Spaniard's cross is blocked by Zinchenko, looping up for Ederson to catch easily.
5' Pereyra takes on Walker down the left and keeps possession for Watford. David Silva heads away the eventual delivery and City move foward. Deulofeu tracks Zinchenko and puts the ball out for a throw.
3' Watford are playing more of a 4-5-1 with Pereyra keeping an eye on Walker and Deulofeu watching over Zinchenko. City pass the ball around and Laporte booms a shot over from range. Nothing wrong with a shot like that early on.
2' Man City start the game brightly as Sterling jinks upfield, holding off Deulofeu. Zinchenko wins the first corner of the game for City from Femenia's block. Watford clear and break upfield to no avail. They'll need patience today.
1' Watford get this 138th FA Cup Final underway!
After a typically stirring performance of Abide with Me, Man City and Watford walk onto the pitch. It's an oval of colour at Wembley - City's blue and white on one side, Watford's yellow and red on the other. Prince William shakes the hands of all the players before the operatic duo Belle Voci belt out God Save The Queen. We're seconds away from kick-off!
Nicholson. Revie. Mercer. Dalglish. Graham. Ferguson. Mourinho. These are the illustrious names Guardiola will join if Man City win today as he would become only the eighth manager in history to win all three of English football's top prizes. On paper, City really should lift the trophy - no side who finished in the bottom half of the top-flight table has ever beaten the side to finish top in an FA Cup final. Watford's top scorer this season Deulofeu is their best chance - after his wonder goal against Wolves against the semis, can he spur his side to a famous victory?
Manchester City are taking this final seriously. They make only one change from the starting XI that secured the Premier League title against Brighton last week as Guardiola gives Jesus the nod up front over Aguero. Ederson, Walker and Jesus all make their 100th appearance for the club. Gracia stays loyal to the players from Watford's final day drubbing by West Ham as cup keeper Gomes starts in their only change. Holebas can play as his unfair red card in that game was rescinded.
WATFORD SUBS: Ben Foster, Daryl Janmaat, Adam Masina, Christian Kabasele, Tom Cleverley, Isaac Success, Andre Gray.
WATFORD (4-2-2-2): Heurelho Gomes; Kiko Femenia, Adrian Mariappa, Craig Cathcart, Jose Holebas; Abdoulaye Doucoure, Etienne Capoue; Will Hughes, Roberto Pereyra; Troy Deeney (c), Gerard Deulofeu.
MAN CITY SUBS: Arijanet Muric, Danilo, John Stones, Nicolas Otamendi, Kevin De Bruyne, Leroy Sane, Sergio Aguero.
MANCHESTER CITY (4-3-3): Ederson; Kyle Walker, Vincent Kompany (c), Aymeric Laporte, Oleksandr Zinchenko; Bernardo Silva, Ilkay Gundogan, David Silva; Riyad Mahrez, Gabriel Jesus, Raheem Sterling.
Watford are looking for a spot in the history books themselves. Javi Gracia's hardworking side are making only their second ever appearance in the FA Cup Final, having lost 2-0 to Everton here at Wembley in 1984, during Graham Taylor's heyday. The Hornets have never before won a piece of major silverware, but if they buzz like they did in their semi-final comeback against Wolverhampton Wanderers, today could be the day.
Manchester City aren't just chasing their sixth FA Cup trophy today - they're chasing immortality. Pep Guardiola's side could become the first English men's team ever to complete the domestic treble after they won the Premier League and League Cup earlier this season. Just one more win and the Citizens will cement their supreme dominance of the English game.
Hello and a very warm welcome to our live text commentary of the 138th FA Cup Final between Manchester City and Watford at Wembley Stadium.
