FULL TIME - KAWASAKI 1 SYDNEY 0 - An 83rd minute strike from Manabu Saito is all that separates the sides tonight as Kawasaki Frontale claim a 1-0 win over Sydney FC. The home side had the better of the chances and they deserved their win tonight as they get their first win of the ACL group stages. It is just what the Japanese side needed after last start's loss and they will go up to 3 points in Group H. Sydney will be disappointed in their loss after defending well for long periods of the game but it was just the one goal conceded that has cost them tonight. They will now be stuck at the bottom of their group but they have time to turn things around as they have four group games remaining.
89' Ivanovic gets the ball stuck between his feet and his chance to get a shot away is lost quickly. Sydney pushing for that equaliser.
86' Nakamura's free kick hits a teammate and the second phase play doesn't produce anything this time and it's a foul given for Sydney for a push on Grant

83' GOAL KAWASAKI - KAWASAKI 1 SYDNEY 0 - Big breakthrough for the home side who score the 1st goal of the game and what a big goal it is with a cross finally producing a result for the home side with the ball falling in the box to Manabu Saito and his shot is seen late by Redmayne as it goes underneath the goalkeeper and into the back of the net

74' Great chance from the home side with the ball falling to Tanaka whose shot is saved by Redmayne. The Sydney keeper refusing to be beaten as we head into the final 15 minutes of the game
71' Ienaga takes a quick shot from just outside the area which he scoops over the bar
69' The home side's substitutes fresh energy making a difference with Suzuki winning another corner for his side. Nakamura's cross then hits Redmayne on the chest.

65' The ball falls to Hasegawa in the area but his miskick goes straight to Redmayne. Kawasaki on top again in this game but haven't taken advantage as of yet

59' Lovely strike from Morita who hits it on the half volley and it looked destined for the back of the net before Redmayne got across to deny him with a wonderful save
58' Hasegawa cuts inside his defender and curls a shot to the far post which Redmayne has to get a touch to. Corner for the home side
57' Caceres tries his luck from distance but there's no trouble for goalkeeper Jung as it goes straight to him
55' O'Neill's pass to Grant is well weighted but Grant is unable to get to it with good defence coming across to block his path
52' O'Neill's set piece delivery isn't good and is easily cleared away. Sydney unable to take advantage of their chances like in the 1st half
50' Nice block from Retre who gets across to block Nakamura's shot which is then easy for Redmayne to claim
49' Le Fondre puts in a powerful cross into the box which gets to a good area but Brosque is too late to react to it
46' Ienaga gets down the right side but he hasn't timed his run and is flagged offside
46' Back underway
HALF TIME - KAWASAKI 0 SYDNEY 0 - No extra time needed for a 1st half that flew by but unfortunately there are no goals to speak of in this one as the teams head to the sheds. Kawasaki's best moments have come on the left through Hasegawa and Damiao has had a couple of chances but no goals for them as they haven't been able to get through the defence. Same story for Sydney FC who have had a couple of half chances but they are also struggling to find that final ball to unlock the Frontale defence. Both defences are on top in this one and both teams will have to come up with something different to find a goal in the 2nd half.
44' Le Fondre gets some space down the left and tries to create something with a cross into the box but the covering defence blocks it out and away from danger
41' Grant does well to defend a dangerous situation with Hasegawa trying to create something
39' Brosque gets away from his defender but he has fouled him in the process before he got a shot away
37' Brosque puts a quick cross into the area meant for Ninkovic but there's not enough on it to find him. Sydney struggling to find that last pass
36' Caceres and Le Fondre combine but the Frontale defence is equal to the challenge and they get the ball away from danger
33' Caceres is lucky to get away without a yellow card for a foul to stop the attack
31' Ninkovic drives forward trying to find a pocket of space for himself but he's lost out and now it's Zullo who has a chance to get into the box and put a cross into a dangerous area but the defence can clear
28' Wilkinson tries to go in the air to get it to Le Fondre but there's just a bit too much on the ball.
26' Nice move from Frontale to the right and Morita's cross is blocked out for a corner. More defensive pressure for the away side
24' Sydney doing well so far defending their area and not allowing any clear cut chances to fall the way of the home side
21' The ball stays in the area for a few seconds with a shot blocked and Sydney FC just manage to boot it away from danger. The home side starting to get on top of their opponents and pose a big attacking threat
20' Good play from Damiao who rides a challenge and gets a shot away which forces Redmayne into a good save as the Sydney keeper tips the ball over the bar
19' The best attacking play is coming down the left side from Hasegawa but that time he goes a bit too early and is flagged offside
16' Hasegawa is a great option for the home side on the left as he is continually aluding Grant and it's Warland who has to come across to get it clear of danger
14' A long ball tries to find Le Fondre and he gets his head on it but it goes straight in the air and the Frontale defence are there to get it out of harm's way
12' First shot of the game comes through Damiao who doesn't make a good connection with the ball and it goes wide of the target
11' Warland's clearance is not a good one and Hasegawa can pick it up on the left wing and swing in a cross but it's too deep for a teammate to get to
9' Nakamura's pass out to the wing is too strong and goes out for a throw in. Good build up from the home side but no cutting edge at the moment
7' Grant's cross is a good one which finds the head of Brosque but he doesn't get enough power on his header to trouble keeper Jung
6' Ninkovic and Zullo try to combine with a 1-2 on the left but the pass is wayward. Sydney trying to find their rhythm in these early stages
4' Grant does well to block a cross coming in from the left channel and it goes out for a corner
2' The Brazilian up front Damiao will provide the main threat of the night for the home side as he is the intended target of a pass which rolls through to Redmayne
1' We're underway
