Thanks for joining our commentary this afternoon. Until next time, goodbye.
Arsenal end their three-match winless run in the Premier League with a convincing 4-1 win over Crystal Palace this afternoon. The game was over after 22 minutes as the Gunners blitzed their London rivals. Goals from Nacho Monreal, Alex Iwobi, Laurent Koscielny and Alexandre Lacazette were enough to secure the victory as the home side proved a point with Alexis Sanchez out of the squad. Palace got a consolation goal in the second half as Luka Milivojevic found the net, but Roy Hodgson and his team had a game to forget.

A. Iwobi
Arsenal

Wenger will be a bit dissatisfied with his side's second half performance. They've allowed Palace a lot of room and had they taken the chances on offer the game could have been a lot tighter.
SAVE! Lacazette attempts to restore Arsenal's four-goal advantage as he finds space in the left inside channel. His stabbed effort is well saved by Hennessey and from the follow-up he curls a meek effort at the Welshman.

Wilshere and Iwobi attempt to combine in the final third, but the latter cannot take the ball in stride and loses possession.
There's not much tempo to the game at the moment. Palace are having the better of the opportunities, but have lacked the clinical edge in the final needed to get one goal back.

PENALTY SHOUT! Arsenal give the ball away at the back and Zaha takes possession. He uses skill to break into the box before going down from Elneny's challenge. He looks to the referee for a penalty, but the official waves play on.
SAVE! Iwobi is released by a clever throughball from Ozil. The winger surges into the box and shoots low towards the net, but Hennessey comes off his line to make the block with his legs.
Maitland-Niles struggles with the physical presence of Benteke and Mustafi is forced into a hurried clearance, sending the ball away from Cech and behind for a corner.
OFFSIDE! Xhaka releases Lacazette over the top down the left inside channel, but the Frenchman is caught offside as his team-mate delayed his pass by a second.
Arsenal are yet to get going in the second half, having barely ventured outside of their own half.
Zaha tries to angle a cross to the back post after finding space on the left, but Cech watches the ball past his post.
Cabaye on the charge tries to steer the ball into the path of Benteke in the box, but Koscielny cuts out his pass on the edge of the area.
BLOCK! Van Aanholt advances into a forward position once again and goes for a strike, only to be denied by Bellerin's block.

We're back underway at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal have made a statement in the first half to those who may have predicted their demise without Alexis Sanchez. The Gunners scored four goals in the opening 22 minutes of the match. Nacho Monreal sent them on their way with a close-range header before he turned provider for the next two. First the Spaniard teed up Alex Iwobi to steer home before crossing for Laurent Koscielny to convert. Alexandre Lacazette ended his drought in front of the net with his side's fourth goal, firing through the hands of Wayne Hennessey. It was an opening 45 minutes to forget for Crystal Palace and Roy Hodgson.

CHANCE! Sako gets the better of Elneny and Wilshere in the final third, but he can only fire a tame effort straight at Cech, much to the frustration of Zaha.
When you see Arsenal like this you wonder why they're not higher in the table. Consistency and killer instinct is forever the issue with the Gunners.
This is majestic from the Gunners. Once again they play their way through the Palace defence with one-touch passes. Wilshere tees up Iwobi for a strike on the edge of the box, but he drills his low effort straight at Hennessey.

We're underway at the Emirates Stadium.
STAT ATTACK! The Eagles haven’t won away from home at Arsenal in any competition since October 1994, winning 2-1 at Highbury with a brace from John Salako.
STAT ATTACK! Arsenal have lost just one of their last 16 matches against Palace in all competitions (W11 D4), a 3-0 defeat in the Premier League last April.
Hodgson has made only one change from his team that defeated Burnley last time out. Yohan Cabaye returns in three-man supporting line behind Christian Benekte as Jairo Riedewald drops back down to the bench.
As mentioned there's no Sanchez for Arsenal this afternoon, although Mesut Ozil does return to the fold. The German is one of four changes from the defeat to Bournemouth last time out. Laurent Koscielny and Nacho Monreal come back into the side in defence, while Mohamed Eleneny partners Granit Xhaka in central midfield. Theo Walcott's departure to Everton during the week has left Wenger thin on the ground in attacking options on the bench.
Palace subs: Speroni, Ward, Townsend, Chung-yong, Souare, Delaney, Riedewald.
CRYSTAL PALACE (4-2-3-1): Hennessey; Fosu-Mensah, Kelly, Tomkins, Van Aanholt; Milivojevic, McArthur; Sako, Cabaye, Zaha; Benteke.
Arsenal subs: Mertesacker, Ospina, Chambers, Maitland-Niles, Kolasinac, Nelson, Nketiah.
ARSENAL (4-2-3-1): Cech; Bellerin, Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal; Elneny, Xhaka; Ozil, Wilshere, Iwobi; Lacazette.
The team news has been announced and we'll start with the home side.
Palace looked doomed to relegation after losing their opening seven matches of the campaign. However, Roy Hodgson has performed a miracle to drag the Eagles out of the mire and move them into mid-table. There is little between the sides in the bottom half of the Premier League so the club are still a long way from safety, but Palace supporters would have snapped your hand off to be in this situation back in September. They've won back-to-back matches against Southampton and Burnley and will be looking to capitalise on Arsenal's issues today.
The Gunners are facing a crucial period in their season, having endured a six-match winless run in all competitions. Alexis Sanchez is not in the squad this afternoon as he reportedly edges closer to a move to Manchester United. Arsene Wenger's men are eight points adrift of the top four and cannot lose further ground in their bid to return to the Champions League next term.
Good afternoon and welcome to the live commentary of the Premier League clash between Arsenal and Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium.
