The Makurdi based outfit were in superb form for the most part of the match but Abdulrahman Bashir's 51st-minute effort condemn Solomon Ogbeide's men to the sixth defeat of the season.
And the former Gombe United man insists his side gave their best against Paul Aigbogun's men but lamented their missed chances in the encounter, though upbeat that they will bounce back.
"We ought to have taken something from this match because we played very well," Zango told Goal.
"It was not about the chances we created alone and I think we dominated the game but luck was not on our side for us to get at least a point from this season.
"Overall, we had a good performance but did not take our chances. We had a ball that hit the crossbar, we could not defend enough and score, especially in the second half.
"We have taken one or two lessons from the game and we will prepare better to bounce back in our coming matches and pick maximum points either at home or away."
Despite the loss, the Pride of Benue still hold five points lead at the top with 43 points, while Enyimba are sixth on the log with 34 points.
