Brazil are still 4/1 (5.0) with dabblebet favourites to win the World Cup after scraping past Costa Rica.

Even a wholly unconvincing performance from the Selecao hasn’t deterred the bookmakers, who still believe they have the best chance of winning the tournament.

Philippe Coutinho and Neymar scored injury time goals for the five-time champions to move them to the top of Group E, at least temporarily, and in a strong position to qualify for the knockouts.

Costa Rica kept one of the tournament favourites at bay for extended periods and looked set to claim a point, but two late strikes eliminated the North Americans from the tournament.

Coutinho’s goal, which came courtesy of a toe-poke from six yards out, was his second of the tournament and he is now 16/1 (17.0) to be the World Cup’s top scorer.

Neymar eventually found the net after a frustrating afternoon in Saint Petersburg, with the Paris Saint-Germain striker having a penalty overturned by VAR with the score still at 0-0 and being booked for dissent later on.

One the ante post favourites to win the Golden Boot, Neymar wasted multiple chances against Costa Rica but he can still be backed at 11/1 (12.0) to be top scorer despite having just one goal to his name so far.

Brazil are in a strong position to win Group E but face competition from both Serbia and Switzerland for that top spot.

A win for Tite’s men against Serbia next week, which would mean they qualify for the knockout stages as group winners, is priced at just 1/2 (1.50), with the Europeans out at 11/2 (6.50).
