West Brom's Hegazi scores in Egypt's win ahead of Wigan clash

Ahmed Hegazi scored as Egypt secured a 2-0 away victory over Swaziland, thus, completing their dominance in a 2019 African Cup of Nations doubleheader.

Four days ago, the Pharaohs had secured a 4-1 victory over Tuesday's hosts at the Cairo International Stadium, Egypt with Mohamed Salah enduring a mixed fate.

With the Liverpool star absent, Hegazi started the party at the Mavuso Sports Centre, getting the curtain raiser in the 19th minute.

Striker Marwan Mohsen wrapped up the victory that saw Javier Aguirre's men maintain their spot behind Group J leaders, Tunisia in the standings.

The former Fiorentina defender returns to West Bromwich Albion whom, with two draws and five wins in their last seven league games, will look to extend their positive run in the Championship to eight outings when they face Wigan Athletic on Saturday.

Hegazi has been an ever-present in the Baggies' impressive campaign to return to the Premier League, playing in all 12 of their Championship encounter and has yet to get a goal - one he'd hope he gets after Tuesday's showing.

Darren Moore's side are placed second in the log, a point adrift of table-toppers Sheffield United [25 points] after 12 round of matches.
