Wazito FC have made it clear that they are not afraid of relegation, but they will do so under their own terms.

Even with Ulinzi Stars, Zoo FC, Kariobangi Sharks, Bandari and Sony Sugar still lined up, Coach Frank Ouna has made it very clear that they will not be boxed into the relegation zone.

Reacting after the league debutantes pulled a miraculous comeback against AFC Leopards in a 2-1 victory, a defiant Ouna insists that no one will dictate to Wazito how to drop to the National Super League.

Wazito were facing the danger of relegation but revived their hopes with a hard-fought win against a Rodolfo Zapata side at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Wednesday.

“We will go down under our own terms. Nobody should dictate to us how we go down and this result is a testament to that.

Sitting second from bottom on 27 points, Ouna’s target is not how to remain afloat, but achieve the team’s point-target. “We had set point target and I believe we can achieve that,” said the former Gor Mahia assistant coach.
