Fans were split over whether the Canada forward meant to score - though the player himself will not care a jot

A late winner is enough to put a smile on any forward's face, but the manner in which Montreal Impact's Anthony Jackson-Hamel sunk Atlanta United on Saturday will have left the 23-year-old beaming ear to ear.

Former Premier League man Kenwyne Jones had given the visitors a first-half lead before Ignacio Piatti's penalty levelled things up before the break.

The game then began to wear on, with neither side seemingly able to make a breakthrough before Jackson-Hamel almost inexplicably managed to flick on a low driven ball into the box to seal all three points at the death.
