Praises trickle into Samuel Onyango's path after making Harambee Stars' debut

Ulinzi Stars forward Samuel Onyango has been showered with praise following his stellar performance for Harambee Stars against Uganda and DR Congo.

Captain Victor Wanyama says the midfielder combined well with the rest of the team to register a 1-1 draw against Uganda and 2-1 win against DR Congo.

“He is a fighter and he works hard; anyone who does that ends up giving his best. He showed what he can do. We are grateful for him and the performance he had over the two games as well as what the team did. It was great,” he told Ulinzi Stars’ website.

Head coach Stanley Okumbi has also applauded him for the good performance singling out his assist against DR Congo and the ‘brilliant’ game against Uganda.

“Of course his performance was brilliant. He has had two wonderful games. Against Congo he missed one on one but he later made an assist for the winning goal and I think he did a marvelous job,” he said.

Harambee Stars will host Malawi in another friendly match in April.
