Ulinzi Stars will miss the services of striker Masita Masuta when they take on Wazito FC in their next league match.

Masuta, who signed for the soldiers from Nzoia Sugar, is yet to recover from the ankle injury sustained in the win over Nakumatt FC and though Team Doctor John Imboywa confirmed he is back in training, he will not be ready for the Sunday clash at Kericho Green Stadium.

“He has started light training as we continue to observe him but as at now I can confirm he will not be ready for the weekend match,” the doctor told the club’s official website.

Masita joins defender Geoffrey Kokoyo, Eugene Ochieng and Oscar Injika on the sidelines with the three all injured. Keeper Jacktone Odhiambo is also out but with suspension and makes the fifth player unavailable for the weekend match.

Meanwhile, two forwards, Justine Onuonga and Mark Bikokwa are back in training after recovering from hamstring injuries and are in contention for places in the team for the tour of Kericho.

Cliff Kasuti, who was withdrawn from the squad just one hour to the game against River Plate FC last time out, is also back and training.
