Ulinzi Stars defender Geoffrey Kokoyo handed a first start of the season

Kokoyo will team up with the youthful George Omondi at the heart of the defence

Geoffrey Kokoyo has been handed a start in Ulinzi Stars squad to face Transmillan FC in the FKF Shield campaign.

Kokoyo missed the entire first leg as he undertook a military progression course, but walked straight to the starting squad upon return.

Kokoyo will team up with the youthful George Omondi at the heart of defence.

Hamisi Abdalla gets his first start of the season on the right wing as Omar Mbongi handles the left side of defence.

Skipper James Saruni will start in goal and Daniel Waweru gets back to the starting team after missing the last two matches.

Mark Bikokwa is another returnee who also missed the opening leg of the season as he undertook his courses in Isiolo.

Elvis Nandwa, who has been in fine form lately makes up for the experienced reserves, alongside Masita Masuta and John Kago while Boniface Andayi will be hoping for his first game.
