Tusker releases six as the Brewers continue with the clear out of the 'dead' stock

Edwin Lavatsa has been left clubless after he was released by Tusker just six months into his life at Ruaraka.

Lavatsa joined Tusker last January from Bandari but the former Gor Mahia striker was released by a struggling side alongside Paul Odhiambo and David Mwangi.

While Diana Yonah, the club media liaison officer confirmed to Goal the departure of the trio, second choice goalkeeper David Okello, who made a blunder in the last game against Kakamega Homeboyz as well as Uganda international Lawrence Kasadha are also said to be on their way out.

Meanwhile, defender Collins Shivachi has been sent out on loan to Kakamega Homeboyz. "So far only Mwandi (David), Odhiambo (Paul) and Lavatsa (Edwin) have been released. I don't know about the whereabouts of Shivachi," Yonah told Goal.

The big number of clear out at Ruaraka started last December when Tusker released 14 players.

The former champions are currently 13th on the log and coach Robert Matano will need a miracle and a strong squad to work his way to the top.
