Tottenham Hotspur join Ahmed Hegazi chase

Mauricio Pochettino’s side are looking to bolster their defensive options with the signing of the Egypt international

Tottenham Hotspur have joined the race to sign Ahmed Hegazi from West Bromwich Albion this summer.

Hegazi impressed in the Baggies’ underwhelming 2017-18 campaign and played in every of their 38 league games.

According to ESPN, Tottenham are set to lure the centre-back following West Brom’s relegation to the Championship.

The 27-year-old moved to the Hawthorns on loan from Al Ahly in July before signing a four-and-a-half year deal in January.
