'The players deserved all the accolades' - Nigerians react to Manchester Utd's comeback win over Newcastle

The Red Devils fought back to clinch maximum points at Old Trafford against the Magpies after conceding two goals in the first half

Nigerians have hailed Manchester United players for their second half performance that helped secure a dramatic 3-2 comeback win over Newcastle United on Saturday.

Kenedy and Yoshinori Muto sent Rafael Benitez's side into cloud nine with their efforts in the first 10 minutes of encounter.

But goals from Juan Mata, Anthony Martial and Alexis Sanchez after the interval helped the Red Devils overturn the two-goal deficit and grab maximum points.

Despite the players' disappointing showings in the first 45 minutes, Jose Mourinho's men have been commended for redeeming themselves.
