Tanzania U20W 8-0 Eswatini U20W: Tanzanite cruise into Cosafa Cup semi-finals

Tanzania thumped Ewsatini 8-0 in their second Group Stage match to reach the Cosafa U20 Women's Cup semi-finals on Sunday.

The Tanzanite had defeated Botswana 2-0 in their opening game on Friday and were hoping to win to guarantee a spot in the knockout stage in Port Elizabeth.
 
Enekia Lunyamila opened the scoring for the East Africans in the 24th minute before Aisha Masaka doubled the lead in the 39th minute. Irene Kisisa then made 3-0 a minute from the half-time break.

In the second half, Masaka's second and third goals of the game came within 13 minutes of the restart at the Gelvandale Stadium.

In the 74th minute, Lunyamila got her brace and Tanzania's sixth, while Shamimu Salum netted the seventh a minute later.

Three minutes from full-time, Esther Gindulya scored to complete the riot and ensured Tanzania's passage with a game to spare. 

The win puts Tanzania on top of Group B with six points from two games - ahead of closest challengers Zambia on goal difference.  

Earlier at the same venue, Zambia U20 women side defeated Botswana 4-1 to also confirm their place in the semi-final.

Tanzania will meet second-placed Shepolopolo in their final Group Stage tie a battle for the top of the table on Tuesday.
