The Brazilians, who have Uganda's first-choice goalkeeper Denis Onyango on their books, have been linked with a player from the East African country

Reigning Premier Soccer League (PSL) champions Mamelodi Sundowns have reportedly set their sights on Ugandan teenage sensation Allan 'Jolly' Okello.

The midfielder started for Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) FC during the 1-1 draw against Sundowns in the Caf Champions League first round second-leg clash in Kampala on Saturday.

Okello, 17, reportedly gave a good account of himself with explicit passes and attempts towards goal as KCCA were knocked out of the tournament after losing 3-2 on aggregate.

Nevertheless, Okello is believed to have left a lasting impression on Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane according to The Citizen source, who is a journalist in Uganda.

“He (Mosimane) spoke to KCCA coach (Mike Mutebi) and later to the officials asking that they give him the boy," the source said.

"He sounded sincere and although he was not given an immediate answer, it looks positive,” the source concluded.

The Brazilians, who recently lost one of their key players, Keagan Dolly to French club Montpellier, are believed to be looking for the Bafana Bafana international's replacement.

Okello has named former Bloemfontein Celtic and Baroka FC striker Geoffrey Massa, the Uganda captain, as one of his role models.
