The presence of Coach Melis Medo has brought a ‘feel good’ mood in the Sofapaka camp, says Captain Stephen Waruru.

The American tactician joined Batoto Ba Mungu from Mount Kenya FC, former Nakumatt and his skipper says that his presence has injected a sense of self-belief on players ahead of the new season.

Sofapaka needs a coach and a motivator, just like Medo if they are to win their first Kenyan Premier League title since 2009.

Waruru, who joined Sofapaka at the start of the 2018 season from Ulinzi Stars has a feeling that the Elly Kalekwa owned side will be a solid unit this coming season.

“So far, everyone is working hard in training and you can see from the players that they really want to get fit and ready for the new campaign,” Waruru was quoted by Sofapakafc.co.ke.

He added; “The new players have definitely added some strength into the team and now the depth is more. We are going into a very tough compressed season and for you to compete, you need enough depth.”
