The summer signing needed little or no time to settle down at Anfield, and now, has a hand in 15 of the Kops goals this season

Salah has attributed the confidence he had from his 'two great seasons' at Roma as the key to an impressive start to his Liverpool career.

The Kops captured the former Chelsea flop from the Italian giants - on the back of an impressive two-year stint - for a club record fee and he has been their main source of inspiration so far in the 2017-18 season.

The Egypt international followed up his virtuoso midweek showing with another brilliant performance to help Jurgen Klopp’s side sweep aside West Ham United 4-1 in Saturday’s English Premier League encounter as he contributed two goals.

Salah has now scored 12 goals and created three assists in all competitions - a feat that has won him rave reviews from teammates, coaches, ex-players, pundits and fans alike.

“I had confidence from the beginning. I was happy to come here,” Salah told BT Sport .

“I had two great seasons in Rome so I had confidence to come to England again. That was the plan. I have to carry on and keep looking forward to the next games.”
