With both the Giallorossi and Inzaghi's team in fine form, Al Hain-Cole is expecting a fittingly free-scoring Derby della Capitale in Serie A

A heavyweight clash takes place in Serie A on Saturday, as Roma and Lazio go head-to-head at the Stadio Olimpico in the Derby della Capitale.

Having won four of the previous five league encounters between the sides, the Giallorossi are 67/50 (2.34) favourites with BetSafe to claim local bragging rights with another victory.

However, Simone Inzaghi’s men ran out 3-1 winners when the teams last met back in April, and are on offer at 39/20 (2.95) to make it two consecutive league victories in this one.

None of the last seven derby matches have resulted in draws, but there are odds of 51/20 (3.55) available on this one finishing up all square.

Although Rome derbies are always hotly anticipated, this clash is looking particularly mouth-watering given both teams’ excellent recent form.

While Eusebio Di Francesco’s team come into the game on the back of five consecutive wins that includes an impressive 3-0 Champions League victory over Chelsea, their neighbours are enjoying a club record nine-game winning streak.

Indeed, the Biancocelesti’s return of 28 points after 11 games is also a club record, with only top two Napoli and Juventus having scored more than their 31 goals so far.

With Roma scoring on average twice per match in all competitions this campaign themselves, there should be no shortage of goalmouth action in a fittingly entertaining derby clash on Saturday.

Having produced nine goals in their last two encounters alone, odds of 139/100 (2.39) are well worth considering on the capital clubs continuing that free-scoring trend with at least four in this one.

That bet looks particularly attractive considering Lazio have seen over four goals per game in their 11 league fixtures so far this season, while their opponents have seen nine in their last two matches.
