REVEALED: Why Nakumatt rallied to force a draw against AFC Leopards

Nakumatt FC came from two goals down to claim a 2-2 draw against AFC Leopards in an entertaining match played on Saturday.

Ingwe had scored two goals courtesy of Whyvonne Isuza, but Eugine Ambulwa and Brian Nyakan ensured parity is observed at the end of the match.

The shoppers head coach Anthony Mwangi has explained to Goal why his team fell in the first half, and what he did to ensure tables turn after the break.

“Individual mistakes cost us in the first half; it is not that the team played badly, no. The pitch also complicated matters for us, it slowed the balls, and by the time my players realized it, we were two goals down.

“After the break I told my players to stick to our plan, and increase the tempo. The patience paid off because we managed to get the two goals back, to me it feels like a win. The season has just begun for us!”

Nakumatt is currently bottom of the table with eleven points after fifteen matches.
