Orlando Pirates slid down the PSL table prior to the mid-season break, but this doesn’t affect their chances for a top eight finish according to retired striker Bruce Ramokadi.
“No, its not over yet. They still got a long way to go. They can still bounce back and make the top eight. They can even secure a fourth place finish,” Ramokadi told Goal.
Pirates are currently under the tutelage of Peruvian Augusto Palacios in an interim capacity following the abrupt departure of Turkish-born Muhsin Ertugral in November 2016.
Their last two PSL matches of the past year ended in defeats when they went down to Maritzburg United and Bloemfontein Celtic respectively.
That saw Bucs slip out of the top eight into tenth place and led Palacios to bemoan the players' attitude and fighting spirit.

It’s something that Ramokadi believes has to change as well if they are going to have an up-turn in fortunes when their campaign resumes away to Platinum Stars on Wednesday.
“Firstly, I think the players attitude needs to change. You know, even if you can get your Sir Alex Ferguson, if the players attitude and minds don't change then there is nothing you can do," he said.
“The players at the end of the day have to go out and do the job on the field of play, so I believe that their attitude must change,” Ramokadi concluded.
