Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier has rubbished reports that his five players were dropped from the national team Harambee Stars that is preparing to play Malawi in a friendly match next week.

Musa Mohammed, Boniface Oluoch, Haron Shakava, Ernest Wendo and Kenneth Muguna failed to turn up as requested by head coach Stanley Okumbi. However, Rachier says he will discuss with his coach Ze Maria to determine their availability.

"It is not that they were dropped, nothing like that has happened. FKF C.E.O Muthomi (Robert) called me about the same, requesting us to release the players for that friendly. The problem is that it is not within the FIFA calendar and that's where complications are.

"I will discuss with my coach on the same and decide whether the players will be available for the national duty," he told Goal.

Harambee Stars are using the match to build a team that will play in Chan 2018 competition.
